Jay Leno on President Bush (Surprising)

Jay Leno wrote this; it's the Jay Leno we
don't often see....

As most of you know I am not a President
Bush fan, nor have I ever been, but this is
not about Bush, it is about us, as Americans,
and it seems to hit the mark.

The other day I was reading Newsweek
magazine and came across some Poll
data I found rather hard to believe. It must
be true given the  source, right?

The Newsweek poll alleges that 67 percent
of Americans are unhappy with the direction
the country is headed and 69 percent of the
country is unhappy with the performance of
the President.

In essence 2/3 of the citizenry just ain't
happy and want a change. So being the
knuck le dragger I am, I started thinking, '
What are we so unhappy about?''

A.. Is it that we have electricity and running
water 24 hours a day,  7 Days a week?

B.. Is our unhappiness the result of having
air conditioning in the summer and heating
in the winter?

C.. Could it be that 95.4 percent of these
unhappy folks have a job?

D. Maybe it is the ability to walk into a
grocery store at any time  and see more
food in moments than Darfur has seen
in the last year?

E.. Maybe it is the ability to drive our cars
and trucks from the Pacific Ocean to the
Atlantic Ocean without having to present
identification papers as we move  through
each state?

F.. Or possibly the hundreds of clean and
safe motels we would find along the way
that can provide temporary shelter?

G.. I guess having thousands of restaurants
with varying cuisine from around the world
is just not good enough either.

H. Or could it be that when we wreck our
car, emergency workers show up and
provide services to help all and even send
a helicopter to take you to the hospital.

I.. Perhaps you are one of the 70 percent
of Americans who own a home.

J.. You may be upset with knowing that in
the unfortunate case of a fire, a group of
trained firefighters will appear in moments
and use top notch equipment to extinguish
the flames, thus saving you, your family,
and your belongings.

K.. Or if, while at home watching one of
your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or
prowler intrudes, an officer equipped with
a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to
defend you and your family against
attack or loss.

L.. This all in the backdrop of a neighbor
hood free of bombs or militias raping and
pillaging the residents. Neighborhoods
where  90% of teenagers own cell phones
and computers.

M.. How about the complete religious,
social and political freedoms we enjoy
that are the envy of everyone in the world?
Maybe that is what has 67% of you folks
unhappy.

Fact is, we are the largest group of un--
grateful, spoiled brats the world has ever
seen.  No wonder the world loves the U.S. ,
yet has a great disdain for its citizens.

They see us for what we are. The most
blessed people in the world who do nothing
but complain about what we don't have, and
what we hate about the country instead of
thanking the good Lord we live here.I know,
I know.

What about the president who took us
into war and has no plan to get us out?

The president who has a measly 31 percent
approval  rating? Is this the same president
who guided the nation in the dark days after
9/11?   The president that cut taxes to bring
an economy out of recession?

Could this be the same guy who has been
called every name in the book for succeeding
in keeping all the spoiled ungrateful brats
safe from terrorist attacks?

The commander in chief of an all-volunteer
army that is out there defending you and
me? Did you hear how bad the President
is on the news or talk show?

Did this news affect you so much, make
you so unhappy you couldn't take a look
around for yourself and see all the good
things and be glad?

Think about it............are you upset at the
President because he actually caused you
personal pain OR is it because the 'Media'
told you he was failing to kiss your sorry
ungrateful behind every day.

Make no mistake about it. It's time you
realize the President doesn't do one thing
without Congressional approval. So don't
blame the President blame your
congressman or woman..

The troops in Iraq and Afghanistan have
volunteered to serve, and in many cases
may have died for your freedom.  There
is currently no draft in this country.  T

hey didn't have to go. They are able to
refuse to go and end up with either a ''
general'' discharge, an 'other than
honorable'' discharge or, worst case
scenario, a ''dishonorable'' discharge
after a few days in the brig. so why
then the flat-out discontentment in
the minds of 69 percent of Americans?

Say what you want but I blame it on the
media.   If it bleeds it leads and they
specialize in bad news. Everybody will
watch a car crash with blood and guts.

How many will watch kids selling lemon
ade at the corner? The media knows this
and media outlets are for-profit corporations.

They offer what sells, and when criticized,
try to defend their  actions by 'justifying'
them in one way or another. Just ask why
they tried to allow a murderer like O.J.
Simpson to write a book about how he
didn't kill his wife, but if he did he would
have done it this way......Insane!

Turn off the TV, burn Newsweek, and use
the New York Times for the bottom of your
bird cage.  Then start being grateful for all
we have as country. There is exponentially
more good than bad.  We are among the
most blessed people on Earth and should
thank God several times a day, or at least
be thankful and appreciative.'  '

With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of
control, mud slides, flooding, severe
thunderstorms tearing up the country
from one end to another, and with the
threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks,

'Are we sure this is a good time to take
God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?'

Jay Leno

Please keep this in circulation. There
are so many people who need to read
this and grasp the truth of it.

Both Snopes and About.com claim this was falsely attributed to Jay Leno.

Whoever wrote this is definitely wrong by saying this.

No wonder the world loves the U.S. ,
yet has a great disdain for its citizens.

The world does not have great disdain for the citizens of the U.S.

In fact the majority of the world agrees and sympathizes with over 70% of the citizens of the U.S. that feel unhappy with the direction the country is headed and is unhappy with the performance of the President.

The above article that was falsely attributed to Jay Leno was clearly written by a Republican spin doctor.

For sure they don't.  There's been a propaganda of fear.

For every action there is a reaction.  Any reaction is directed at the administration.

I will never forget watching the news on Sept 11th. The first plane had hit the building and they were talking about it. I watched a live broadcast as the second plane hit the building. I never felt so sick and helpless in my life. Then the planes quit flying in the skies for a few days. It was too quiet. It felt like the end of the world was at hand.

Yeah you and millions of others Barb.  Guess where all the other planes in the air were directed to, Canada.  As a Canadian I got the impression that it mattered if there was another attack in the U.S. but it didn't matter if it happened in Canada.  Some planes were directed to Pearson Airport in Toronto with a direct flight path over a nuclear power generating station that is not too far from where I am.  Yeah I watched it too.  A friend phoned me that morning just after the first plane hit.  The first thing I said to her was that I knew there was going to be trouble back when Bush was handed the job.  Then when the first tower went down I said to her that I thought it looked like an implosion.  Same with the second.  And the broadcasters were saying the same thing.  You can still see all the broadcasts with them saying it looked like an implosion if you look for them on YouTube.  And there's some YouTube videos with firefighters saying they were hearing explosions just before they came down.  I think it was the next day that CBC aired the video of the five Israelis that were dancing as the towers were falling.  Remember the first count was about 5,000 dead then it went down to about 3,000.  Well it came out that some were given advanced notice of it by way of an Israeli instant messenger service called Odigo.  Just do a search for Odigo.  And the video of bin Laden claiming al Qaeda did it looks fake, it looks like a black man dressed up to look like bin Laden, not an Arab at all.  If you watch any videos of the attack on the Pentagon you may have doubts that it was even done with a 747.  I've read that cell phone technology was not advanced enough at the time to have conversations at the height the fourth plane was flying.  Then there's the third building that came down, WTC building 7 also looked like an implosion when it came down at 5:20 p.m. on Sept. 11th.  There's only been 3 steel structure buildings in history that 'apparently have fallen due to fire', the 3 WTC buildings.  And WTC building 7 wasn't even hit by a plane.  The commission was a sham.  There's just too many unanswered questions.  That's why I posted the video of 'a Canadian with testicular fortitude' in the other thread.

I thought they just all landed and weren't allowed back into the air. Didn't know they sent them to Canada. If there had been any more terrorist onboard them, they would have continued to their destination. They wouldn't have went after Canada. It's still a scary thought tho. So you think it was all a hoax on the americans? I saw the plane. It was a plane that hit the second building. Parts of the plane was found in the building. I don't know for sure who did it and why. I don't know if the govenment knows who did it. I only think we need to be aware of things that are possible. Anything is possible. People don't fly now because of it, I won't. But the bridges we pass over everyday could be destroyed, tunnels blown up, schools anything is possible if they really want to hurt us. You can't live in fear. I only flew once in my life to begin with, not my way of transportation to start. We need to be aware of our surroundings and quit taking our freedoms so lightly. We aren't as free as we once were. I know I've been video taped so much that it's not funny and I don't know when it's happening. Going down the street we can be video taped at stop lights. Go into a store you are on camera the whole time. So much for freedoms. I hope they don't have them in the changing rooms and toilets. I think you are saying our government is corrupt. That they are playing with us and making us believe things that never happend. All I know is a lot of people died that day. That wasn't make believe. Our country was hurt. I'm sorry you were scared. It wasn't meant for your country. No one is ever mad a Canada. We shouldn't have taken a risk with Canada tho, and I'm sorry we did. As far as who is president of our country, it doesn't really matter. They aren't a dictator. They have to follow the laws and only have a few exceptions to being the over all authority. We will impeach them if they are hurting our country with bad decisions. The war is one of those bad decisions, but I know quite a few people that have been over there. They tell me that they people want them there and are happy we are helping them. I think this means something. I hope the country will fare well when we leave.  I don't want to see the people hurt because they supported us being there. I don't know what to think about all of this. I know there is cover up, but I hope they don't take it to the point of making us all believe we were under attack and we weren't.

Your country was clearly attacked but by who is still the question.  There have been calls to impeach Bush for 5 or 6 years but it still hasn't happened.  Do a Google search for 'impeach bush' and you'll find about 1,630,000 results.  The world was dumbfounded when his administration got in for the second term.  Have you ever heard of the term United States of Israel?  I've read it quite a few times online.

I've heard of it, but never paid much attention to it. I know I should be more aware of things going on around me, but all they do is upset me. I use to watch cnn all the time, now I watch cartoons. ::)

For anyone that can get the CBC it is airing a documentary tonight at 10:00 pm central time concerning the third building, building 7, that also came down on Sept. 11th.

This seems to be the new tactic of all politicians.
I remember when Clinton was in the other side was screaming impeach.

Just a Big Adult Daycare Center in Washington ::) ::)

;D Yeah a scary Adult Daycare Center too.  The difference with the call to impeach Clinton was just over a bj though.  ;D

I watched both the McCain and Palin acceptance speeches and you could clearly read "more war" into both of them.  These McCainiacs are dangerous.

Yeah I know what you are talking about.  There are other choices but whether it would be just a wasted vote is another thing.

Either don't vote or make a choice. May not be the best choice of all candidates, but it's the way it  has to be. Wish my Dad was running. I could promote him online real good. He'd be known all over the world.  ;D
